The proceeds for each Bass will go to the Derby Scholarship Fund (25%), participating artist that created the fish (50%), and the Edgartown Board of Trade, the auction host (25%)*.

In 2018 the Derby was able to award two $10,000 scholarships, three $5000 scholarships, and one $2500 scholarship to the deserving students featured on this page. One of the scholarships has been named in honor of island artist Ray Ellis, whose contributions to the Derby made the scholarship program flourish.

We are happy to highlight the participating artists, as the Vineyard is lucky to have a strong and diverse arts community.

We'd like to thank our Sponsoring Businesses and E.C. Cottle, Inc.. The fish were created by Edgartown Board of Trade member Zach Pinerio of Chappaquiddick Wood Co.
